Our apartment-specific water meters are approved with a zero protection distance, meaning it is not necessary to have a straight pipe section before or after the meters.
However, we recommend following these protection distances whenever possible to ensure the best performance of the meters:
For a DN15 water meter, 75 mm from the branch.
For a DN20 water meter, 100 mm from the branch.
A ball valve, dirt trap, or an elbow right can be placed immediately in front of the fitting.
